The Producer
The Producer of CANADA FILES is Jennifer Scott.
Jennifer is a 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry, both in front of the camera and as producer/writer/director. She enjoyed a 12-year career at CBC in both radio and television, then moved into independent production as both Series Producer and Executive Producer for multiple programs on History, National Geographic, Discovery, HGTV and Food Network. She also produced a landmark 360/virtual reality film for Heritage Canada to celebrate the country’s sesquicentennial.
As producer/director for Canada Files, Jennifer is responsible for the entire production schedule and securing the guest lineup, both in Toronto and remote locations such as LA and New York. She also oversees post production edits and liaison with WNED for show deliverables.

The Crew
CANADA FILES could not be broadcast without the dedicated efforts of a small and tireless crew.
Technical Director/Editor MICHAEL THIESSEN coordinates the crew and equipment, acts as secondary camera person during each “shoot”, and then does the majority of program editing in his studio suite, alongside Producer Jennifer Scott. Always positive, cheerful, and multi-talented, Mike is very much the fulcrum of CANADA FILES production.
The role of First Cameraman varies from episode to episode, between PETER TUREK, SUAVE HUPA, and STEVE TSUSHIMA. All three are veteran ”shooters” in the Toronto production industry.
The rare combination of Makeup and Photography skills are embodied in the cheerful personality of JENNIFER WOOD. Born and raised in South Africa, Jennifer has called Toronto her home for several years, and CANADA FILES has been fortunate to have her on the crew since inception.
